DJ SABINE (Experimental): The Almighty Warrior Goddess and Resident of Brooklyn Mecca, DJ Sabine is known for her masterful song selections and deep rhythmic sensibilities. Her Oyasound Productions is one of the hottest upcoming house music labels and she continues to travel the country introducing her Afro-Haitian sounds to the world. Sabine is also a member of Dance Warrior Project.
DJ SPINNA (House): A true master of all trades, DJ Spinna is an internationally reknown force on the hip, hop, soul and eletronica/dance scene. Through his label Wonderwax, he has released timeless tracks like “Days Like This” and is a staple on the WMC roster. His tribute party to Stevie Wonder (Wonder-ful) is in a class of its own. Spinna brings his skills to bear on HDI 2008 House and Hustle championships.
PANG-LO (Hustle): Born & Raised in New Jersey, Pang-Lo continues a long tradition of underground dance music. Pang-Lo’s sound has been influenced by Afro and Latin percussion and spans many genres, from soulful vocals, teched out synths & brazilian beats to tribal bangers, creating a rich and warm sound for dancers filled with spirit. He is a resident of Shanti.
CASAMENA (Experimental): One of the great Global Soul DJs of our era, Carlos Mena is the host of Bembe, a West Coast journey into Afro and Latin sounds. A talented producer and the founder of Ocha Records, Carlos has worked with many of the scene’s next level artists, including Osunlade, Karizma and Abicah Soul Project. His podcast, the CasaMena Radio Hour, has had worldwide impact.
CHIP-CHOP NINJA (Vogue / Waacking):
A talented remixer, producer and DJ, Chip-Chop Ninja is a well respected artist who has worked with the likes of Tina Turner, Destiny’s Child and Willi Ninja. He has an uncanny ability to rock any crowd presented to him, and has had the opportunity to travel the world expressing his love for music.
DJ BRIAN COXX (House): Resident DJ of one of the most popular House Dance events in NYC, Soulgasm, Brian is known for his hard-hitting tracks and ability to rock one of the city’s dopest cyphers week-after-week. On any give night at Soulgasm, he transverses from soul to acid to house and always maintains the vibe.
